Business owner: Where do I get the link for Google reviews? My techs tell customers to look us up, and nobody does.

Joshua: Open your Google Business Profile, select "Read reviews," then "Get more reviews." It gives you a review link and a QR code. Step one, copy that link. Step two, put it on every tech's phone as a saved text, or in your software's job-close message.

Business owner: Our software already sends a review text the next day. Maybe one in ten people click it.

Joshua: By then the relief has worn off. Send it before the truck leaves the driveway, while the AC or heat is running again. Step three, the tech asks in person first. Something like, "A Google review really helps a small shop. I'll text you the link." Then he texts it with his name, so they know who it's from.

Business owner: Should I only send it to the happy ones? Not the guy whose compressor died twice.

Joshua: Skipping the unhappy ones is the mistake. Google's rule: don't ask only the happy customers, and don't offer anything for a review. So call the compressor guy first, then send him the link like everyone else. And no tune-up discount for a review. It's worth the habit. BrightLocal found 97% of people read reviews for local businesses. How long? The link takes minutes. Reviews build one job at a time, over months. Count them each month per ten jobs, by tech.
