Is AI search actually something we should care about? Well, I'll tell you this: with Google, it used to be 10 links. We used to get 10 links, then it went down to three with Google Maps. And now with AI Overview, it's one. And that's a big deal. You tell me that it's going down to one.
So, we're in the one answer economy going on right now. And what that really means is that if you're not recommended by AI, you're essentially non-existent. And a lot of business owners aren't feeling it right now because Google Search and Maps are still prominent. But it's going to be really painful in the next two years if businesses are not getting prepared.
So let me show you this. This is AI. The reason why it's so effective is because it understands you, and it will find people and businesses that are closely in relationship with you. And they do that through multiple sources: they use Reddit and other forums to talk about their businesses, to gather trust, to build relationships.
So it's really about the customer experience. It's not just Google reviews anymore. Reviews are happening everywhere; it's omni. And this is where Google's at, where Google essentially would recommend based on proximity.
And the benefit that you get with AI is AI will convert 4 times to 23 times more than organic search. So if you were number one on Google and then you're number one on AI, you're going to get 4 to 23 times more revenue. That's amazing. That's huge. If that doesn't frighten you, if you're not number one, I don't know what will.
